Does my ticket guarantee me a seat in the theater?
Every year, more than 30% of reserved tickets are not used. Depending on the screening, the no-show rate can reach up to 70%.
To avoid empty seats, the festival applies an overbooking policy, issuing more tickets than available seats based on specific analyses and criteria.
This is currently the only effective way to ensure full theaters and allow as many people as possible to attend screenings.
As a result, booking a ticket does not automatically guarantee a seat in the theater.
Arriving early remains the best way to secure access to a screening.
